Boxed or unboxed models

Most people prefer to buy boxed models. However there are those that are happy with unboxed models. The initial cost of unboxed models is usually cheaper than boxed versions. Some collectors will be looking to display the model and are not concerned with a box. Other collectors often buy unboxed models to use in railway layouts or for conversions.

If looked after unboxed models can still be sort after. As with all models the condition and rarity is important in determining value.
We have purchased collections of unboxed models as well as collections that consist of both boxed and unboxed.

Where possible I would always advise keeping the boxes but as sometimes happens, the boxes are discarded and the models are displayed so that they can be admired. If you have such a collection whether it is diecast, resin, white metal or plastic, these models would still be of interest to us and we would like to hear from you.

With many years’ experience, I am confident of making a fair appraisal of your collection and have proven to be very competitive when compared with auction houses and other dealers.
